On July 6, 2016 Scotty beamed up Richard M. Staie.

He was born on October 22, 1952 in Watertown, New York to Vernon and Amy Staie and Rosemarie Cox. He graduated from LaFargeville Central School in 1971. Richard pursued some further Education at JCC and BOCES, graduating from Canton ATC with an AAS in Nursing in 1986.

The marriage to Jean Silva ended in divorce.

He is survived by his lifelong partner and husband, Terry M Towe, a son Adam and a granddaughter Katelyn, his parents of Theresa and Brownville, Vickie Staie, Dennis (Debbie) Staie, Danny (Dawn) Staie and William Staie and Jennifer House, Rosalie and Peter Crosby, Gail Lashaway, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by Charles, Richard, and Melvin Towe and Barbara Terrance.

Calling hours will be Sunday July 10, from 3-5 at IslandView Funeral Services in Morristown. A reception will be held at the Morristown Fire Station Community Hall following the calling hours. Burial will take place in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Morristown.

Dick very much enjoyed his family and traveling with Terry in their RV to Florida in the winter time and many interesting campsites in NYS, Georgia and New Hampshire.

Richard asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to River Hospital’s Wellness Center Art Therapy Program, 4 Fuller Street, Alexandria Bay, New York 13607
