Aaron Thibert Obituary

Calling hours for Aaron Blaine Thibert, 58, Mattawamkeag, ME and formerly of Morristown, will be Thursday February 28, from 4-6 at IslandView Funeral Services, 300 Main Street, Morristown.

Mr. Thibert died on Sunday February 17, 2019 at Portland Medical Center in Portland ME after being involved in a traffic accident.

Many people knew Mr. Thibert as “Aaron”, while many others knew him as “Blaine”.

Surviving Aaron are his wife Min Liu Thibert; two sons, Cory Thibert, Visalia, California and Ryan Thibert, Tracy, California,; one step son, Zhe Li; one sister, Linda (Steve) LaFleur, Ogdensburg; two brothers, Kevin (Carolyn) Thibert, Morristown, Jeffery, Ogdensburg, several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Predeceasing Blaine are his parents and one brother Scott and a nephew Marc.

Born in Ogdensburg on December 7, 1960, he was a son of Rodney Lionel and Norma Jean Madlin Thibert and while he attended Morristown Central Schools he graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1979.  

On July 10, 1979 Aaron enlisted in the US Marine Corps and continued to serve until his discharge in 1984.

On March 21, 2013, he married Min Liu in Saipan.

After returning home from the service, Mr. Thibert worked on residential construction and  woodworking.

For a time he worked at Ogdensburg Pepsi-Cola Bottlers and Pal Oil Company.

He then earned his pilot license and continued on to earning his Commercial Pilot License with a multi-engine and Instrument Rating, before obtaining his Airline Transport Pilot License.

Blaine was also a Certified Flight Instructor. He flew for Elite Air in Florida and other flying services in Guam, Texas and Oklahoma. He also flew helicopters.

Aaron was also a commercial tractor trailer truck driver.

In October 2018, he got his dream job, driving tractor trailer for Treeline Inc. in Lincoln, Me, transporting Poland Springs water.

Mr. Thibert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting.
