Jack Martin Obituary
Calling hours for Jack Stanley Martin, 79, 3343 County Route 6, Hammond will be Tuesday June 5, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at IslandView Funeral Services, 300 Main Street, Morristown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Flackville Cemetery.

Mr. Martin died suddenly at his home Friday night.
Surviving Jack are his companion Linda Schlosser, three step-children: Rodney Pike, Yvonne Pike and Charles Pike; several step-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Elmer Cougler, Ogdensburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Newell and Patricia Martin, and Richard and Reta Martin, both of Lisbon.
Predeceasing Mr. Martin are one stepchild, Carolyn Pike and two brothers Paul and Donald Martin.
Born in Oswegatchie on August 18, 1938, he was a son of Telesphore Joseph and Ruth Aileen Clark Martin and attended Newton Falls High School.
On January 4, 1964, Jack married Arlene Mae Bushnoe in Heuvelton. Mrs. Martin died July 2, 2013.
For 36 years Mr. Martin worked as a motor equipment operator and snowplow driver for the Town of Oswegatchie and was a member of the Local 687 Teamsters Union.
Jack also worked in the logging industry, did construction work, was a certified welder, mechanic and a “Jack of all Trades”.
Jack enjoyed wood working and just doing what people needed doing, for everyone.
