Julia Anne "Judy" (Barr) Paquette

Morristown—Julia Anne “Judy” Paquette, 76, 300 Morris Street, passed away Friday evening at her home under the comfort and care of her family.

Calling hours for Judy will be Monday evening from 6-8 and Tuesday afternoon and evening 2-4 and 6-8 at IslandView Funeral Services, 300 Main Street.

The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday morning at 10:30 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Gouverneur Street with Rev. Chris Carrara, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Ogdensburg.

Julia was born on August 19, 1945 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Thomas Ansty and Leona Margaret Kiah Barr. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1963.

While working at Kinney Drugs in Ogdensburg, she met Richard “Dick” whom she married on June 20, 1965, at Immaculate Heart-Mary Church in Liverpool.

While working at various jobs, including Nurse’s Aide at St. Josephs Home and Cedars Nursing Home as well as The Lodge Restaurant, Judy was a devoted homemaker and mother. Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as baking cinnamon buns, making cinnamon jaw breakers, cooking, sewing, playing cards, gardening, LCR, crossword puzzles, and spending winters in Florida.

Judy is survived by her husband Richard “Dick”; one daughter and son–in-law  Kathryn and Doug Bell of Palm Coast, FL; three sons and their spouses Michael and Jessica of Morristown, Peter and Mary of Morristown and Richard and Helen of Hammond;  nine grandchildren: Sarah Hammond, Megan Bell, Nathan Bell, Nicholas Bell, Jay Paquette, Ben Paquette, Kristen Paquette, Brendon Paquette and Marissa Paquette.  Judy also is survived by five great-grandchildren; Seth Hammond, Eden Hammond, Zachary O’Malia, Delilah Bell and Quinn Paquette.
