There will be a graveside service for Karen Yvonne Gotham on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at 11:00 at Flackville Cemetery. A reception will follow the service.
Karen, age 74, passed away On Monday, February 5th, 2018 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Mrs. Gotham was the daughter of Maurice Guy and Myrtle Mae Alguire Gladle. Karen was born October 13, 1943 in DeKalb Junction, NY. She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1960.
A marriage to Morris Frank Sharlow ended in divorce. She married the late Stanley Gotham on July 11, 1981. Karen was a sales clerk at Sunoco and retired from that position in 2010.
Surviving Mrs. Gotham are a son Kevin Sharlow and companion Lisa Snow; grandchildren Tarra Woodcock and husband Adam; Angel Sharlow and companion Allan Planty; Rachael Sharlow and companion Travis Brothers; Ashley Cochran ;and Nicholas LaRock as well as several great- grandchildren.
Karen was predeceased by a daughter Debbie Sharlow, a son Thomas Sharlow and a sister Norma Hamilton.
She enjoyed camping and fishing, especially attending bull head dinners . Karen collected coins and always enjoyed travelling to garage sales and flea markets. One of her favorite activities was spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Daisy Mae.
